Saturday 25th April 2026 saw our largest ever Farmers’ Spring Collective Sale of Farm Machinery & Agricultural Equipment held at Louth Livestock Market, with twice the amount of lots seen at the previous sale.

With the market packed full of machinery and equipment, it was encouraging to see such strong support from both vendors and purchasers. Buyers attended from across the country thanks to online bidding through MartEye, creating competitive trade throughout the day.

From a steady start a couple of years ago, the regular Farmers’ Collective sales are quickly becoming an established fixture in the calendar, with the volume of entries and level of bidding reflecting the continued confidence in quality second hand machinery and farm equipment.

As businesses continue to look closely at the cost of new machinery compared to good second hand equipment, the demand is growing for clean, genuine equipment with life left in it. The sale once again demonstrated that well maintained machinery, regardless of age, continues to attract serious interest when marketed to the right audience.

There was particularly strong demand for cultivation equipment and livestock handling equipment. Older tractors and traditional machinery also continued to perform well.

Highlights from the sale included:

  • 2024 KRM 6m Tine Drill - £18,400

  • 1998 Claas Challenger 45 - £10,600

  • Simba 6.6m Cultipress - £10,000

  • John Deere 2250 Tractor - £8,200

  • 2005 Amazone BBG Catros 7500 Disc/Press - £6,550

  • 2003 Vaderstad NZA600 6m Cultivator - £6,500

  • 2016 Polaris Ranger - £4,800

  • 6m Vogel Noot Sapack Profi 600 - £4,600

  • 14ft Ifor Williams Triple Axle Livestock Trailer - £4,000

  • 1984 Ford 1910 Compact Tractor - £4,000

Our Farmers’ Collective sales continue to provide the local agricultural community with a straightforward route to turn surplus machinery into working capital, whilst giving buyers access to genuine equipment from trusted local vendors.

Due to continued growth in both entries and buyer demand, we are also pleased to announce an expansion to our machinery sale calendar later this year, with the introduction of a new Winter Farmers’ Collective Sale alongside a revised date for our Autumn sale and Spring sale going forward.
