Simon is a Fellow of the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers (FAAV), member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) and an RICS Accredited Evaluative Mediator .

Simon is our Managing Director and oversees the running of each of our teams.

Since 2006 has been chairman of the South Lincolnshire Deer Management Group (SLMDG) whose many participating landowners manage the large population of Fallow, Roe & Muntjac population over a large area between Grantham and Stamford lying to the east of the A1 and across to Bourne up to Folkingham.

He has had a life long interest in livestock farming in particular and runs a flock of sheep who all live alongside him and his family on a small tenanted grassland farm in the heart of the Lincolnshire Wolds. He is married to Corinne and they have three daughters.

Russell Jeanes is a Director and leads the Rural Team in all the Infrastructure work acting for landowners and farmers.

He has a wide range of experience in rural property matters and estate management and has been with Masons since 2003.

Lucy Turner BSc Hons MRICS FAAV

Lucy Turner BSc Hons MRICS FAAV

Bio

Having graduated from Harper Adams University with a First Class Honours Degree in Rural Enterprise and Land Management, Lucy relocated from her home county of Shropshire, to Lincolnshire, to join Masons professional team in July 2019. She then went on to qualify as a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and a Fellow of the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers.

Lucy's main role in the firm is within Masons Rural, becoming a director in Autumn 2024. She undertakes an array of professional client work namely infrastructure and utilities. As a RICS Registered Valuer, she also undertakes a wide range of valuation work. When required, Lucy also assists with the weekly Livestock Market which includes clerking the sales alongside the auctioneer, and getting involved with the sorting and droving of both sheep and cattle.

David Williams FAAV

Bio

David Williams left his livestock auctioneering and farming roots in North Wales in 1966 to join Mason, Fuller Chatterton & Haxby as it was then, and became a partner in 1968. He has practised throughout the region for approaching 60 years and is widely regarded as a senior and authoritative figure in the profession.

After becoming an agent for AMC in 1972 David is the longest serving and most experienced AMC agent in the country. Through longevity, diligence and hard work he has transacted more AMC business than any other single agent. David was national President of the Central Association of Agricultural Valuer’s in 1996 and was on the Lord Chancellor's Panel of Arbitrators for three decades. He is vastly knowledgeable about the area's farming families and is often called upon to give our clients the benefit of his experience and knowledge particularly in times of difficulty and when major decisions are required.

Having sold cattle in the market every week throughout his career, David handed over the auctioneering reins to Russell and now is on hand to support Ed. He is a consultant to the firm doing Agricultural Mortgage Corporation (AMC) broking and advice and is a director of the livestock market business Louth Market Ltd.

Bio

Tim is a Lincolnshire farmer with over 25 years of experience in farm management and splits his working time between the family farming business and consultancy work. The farm is mainly arable, growing combinable crops, sugar beet and vining peas alongside a beef fattening unit. He is also chairman of Stemgold Peas Ltd and is a member of the finance committee at The Lincolnshire Agricultural Society. He has worked with Masons since 2005 and specialises in:

Bio

Lauren joined Masons in early Spring 2021 to assist the Rural team with their professional client work focusing particularly on Rural Planning. Having graduated from Nottingham Trent University in 2012 with a degree in Planning and Property Development, Lauren worked for a private developer identifying sites for strategic development, before moving on to work within the equestrian industry for a number of years. Since joining Lauren's role has diversified into assisting with rural agency and taking on the workload for all the renewable energy projects.  

 

Having returned to her home town of Louth in the spring of 2019, Lauren was keen to progress her career and is now aiming towards her RICS accreditation. Having previously ridden for Great Britain, Lauren now enjoys competing horses as a hobby, alongside looking after her beloved Labradoodle Mollie on the farm where she lives with her husband in the Wolds.

Bio

Following a First Class BSc Hons in Countryside Environmental Management at Harper Adams, Abi took a Masters in Sustainable Agriculture and Food Security at Newcastle University, graduating in 2018.

Abi grew up on her family’s organic dairy farm in Oxfordshire and recently relocated to Lincolnshire, where she lives with her partner on his family farm in Lincolnshire. She joined Masons professional team in September 2024, bringing with her experience in practical farming, agri-environment and regenerative agricultural work.

Abi has considerable expertise in soil health and agri-environment schemes. She has previously worked with carbon auditing on farms and will be supporting Lucy Turner with SFI work while helping clients with an understanding of carbon and soil health and the supply chain. All of this requires expertise in data but can help give a baseline understanding to make smart management decisions to make farms more resilient.

Outside of work Abi enjoys playing hockey, walking and is a self-confessed foodie. She is looking forward to learning about Lincolnshire’s local and vibrant food and drink scene.

In February 2025, she launched the Wolds Future Farming Discussion Group, restarting a local discussion group open to all farmers in the area to discuss the current and future themes of agriculture in Lincolnshire.

Bio

Emma joined Masons in November 2022 as a Rural Business Advisor and Consultant specialising in Management Accounts, Bookkeeping and Payroll. Emma has lived in Lincolnshire most of her life and grew up on the Vestbirk family farm at Ashby Puerorum. The Vestbirk name might be a familiar to many Lincolnshire farmers from her father Hans, who was a well-known and respected Agricultural Consultant in the county. Following her BSc (Hons) degree in Agriculture at Newcastle, Emma moved to Cambridge where she worked for Deloitte, gaining her accountancy qualifications and considerable accounts expertise with the leading global financial advisory firm. She later returned to Lincolnshire working for established local accountancy firm Duncan & Toplis for 5 years. Emma now lives on a mixed farm with her husband, three children, free range hens, suckler cows and some arable. Over the last 14 years Emma has provided specialist agricultural bookkeeping and management accounts to a wide range of mixed clients across all aspects of the agri-sector from livestock to arable farms in different sizes. We are delighted to welcome Emma to Masons Rural Team offering bespoke individual help to farm businesses of all sizes. Bio

Henry joined Masons Rural in 2022 having enrolled in Rural Estate and Land Management at Harper Adams University. While studying, Henry works with MD Simon Williams as well as assisting other members of the Rural team. Having previously worked on the family farm, Henry started his career with a good understanding of the industry as well as assisting with livestock every week at Louth Livestock Market. In November 2025 he sat his professional CAAV exams and passed first time to become a new fellow (FAAV), a testament to Henry's hard work and the benefits of professional practice working alongside colleagues and clients.

Henry loves the diversity of working around agriculture. He enjoys getting out of the office to meet with clients in the Lincolnshire Wolds and taking a hands-on role at the market. Outside of work, Henry likes to clay shoot, play golf and padel.

Bio

Amy joined Masons Rural Team in 2025 as our second degree apprentice on the Rural Estate and Land Management course at Harper Adams University.

Amy works predominantly with directors, Russell Jeanes and Lucy Turner on infrastructure projects and a wide range of other client work.

Amy is the 4th generation on her family ‘s farm in rural Lincolnshire where she enjoys taking a hands-on role with a particular interest in the sheep, giving her valuable experience to support her role in assisting at the Livestock Market every Monday.

Outside of farming, Amy enjoys horse riding and countryside walks in the Wolds with her chocolate Labrador.

ON MATERNITY LEAVE

Abigail joined Masons in June 2023 as assistant to the Masons Rural team.

 

Before supporting our rural professionals, Abi was a sales assistant at NFU Mutual for four years which has given her great contacts within the farming community. Previously Abi worked in the agricultural and auctions sector of a local property estate agency gaining considerable experience in all aspects of her current role.

 

Outside of work, Abi enjoys being a farmer’s wife and helping her husband on his family farm. She thoroughly enjoys spending time outdoors with her two cocker spaniels and appreciates socialising with friends.

Bio

Karen joined the company in 2020. Her main role within the firm is to provide administration support to Masons Rural Team. She has worked in various administration roles but primarily her experience has been with the NFU Mutual Insurance. In April 2025 she was promoted to Admin Team Leader.

In her spare time, she enjoys reading, gardening and loves walking along the coastline in Jersey.

Jo  Goldby

Jo joined Masons in May 2024 to work alongside the fully qualified team with data management, rural invoicing, infrastructure, AML and client and project administration systems, as well as producing financial reports.

 

Jo previously worked in the charitable sector for 16 years for Home-Start Lincolnshire as Office/Compliance Manager, working closely with the CEO and board of trustees bringing valuable experience to support her colleagues in the Masons Rural team.

 

Beyond work, Jo relaxes with Pilates and Yoga, and has recently found a new interest and passion in gardening, hopefully growing lots of fruit and vegetables in her new home in the beautiful Lincolnshire Wolds, and continues to enjoying walking with her partner and dog.

Lindsay joined Masons in September 2023 to work alongside the Rural Admin Team. Lindsay has many years of experience in both the public and private sectors, having worked in London for over 20 years for commercial property companies and then the last 13 ½ years for a GP Surgery in Norfolk. Lindsay has always wanted to return to her hometown of Louth and in her spare time she enjoys walking, gardening, painting, reading and socialising with friends.

Charlotte joined us in August 2024 to undertake a Level 3 Business Apprenticeship. She previously studied A Level history, sociology and psychology at college but chose not to go to university as she knew that she wanted to pursue a practical qualification.

Before joining Masons Rural Team, she previously worked in retail for over a year gaining valuable experience within the workplace.

Charlotte enjoys living in Lincolnshire and really appreciates being able to enjoy the peaceful natural landscape from her front door. In her free time Charlotte enjoys walking her cocker spaniel Belle on the beach, socialising with friends and reading books.
